At First Auto Route LLC (operating as https://firstauto.store/), we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our truck bed racks, bumpers, winches, and off-road accessories. We understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations or fit your vehicle as planned.

Please read our Return & Exchange Policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations regarding your purchase.

1. 30-DAY RETURN PERIOD

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following strict criteria:

  • Condition: The item must be in the exact same condition that you received it—unworn, unused, uninstalled, and unmodified. Any item that shows signs of installation, scratches, bolt marks, or trial fitment will not be accepted for a return.
  • Packaging: The item must be in its original packaging (including all original boxes, internal foam, hardware kits, brackets, and installation manuals).
  • Proof of Purchase: You must provide the receipt, order number, or proof of purchase from firstauto.store.

2. RETURN SHIPPING COSTS & RESTOCKING FEES

Because automotive armor, bumpers, and bed racks are heavy, oversized freight items, shipping costs are exceptionally high. Therefore, shipping liabilities are designated as follows:

A. Customer-Calculated Returns (Buyer’s Remorse / Wrong Fitment Ordered)

If you wish to return an item because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong size/model for your truck (e.g., ordering a Tacoma rack for a Tundra), or no longer need the item:

  • Return Shipping: You (the buyer) are responsible for arranging and paying for all return shipping costs. For freight/LTL items (like bumpers), we highly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance.
  • Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your final refund amount to cover the cost of warehouse inspection, repackaging, and processing.
  • Original Shipping: Original shipping fees paid at checkout are strictly non-refundable.

B. Store-Deficiency Returns (Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Item Sent)

If we made an error, or if the product arrives with a structural defect:

  • We will provide a prepaid return shipping label or arrange for an LTL freight carrier pickup at no cost to you.
  • You will receive a 100% full refund or a free replacement, and the restocking fee will be completely waived.

3. EXCHANGES

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

If you need a direct exchange due to a vehicle fitment mistake, please contact Support@firstauto.store immediately. If the exchange is due to user error, you will be responsible for the return shipping of the original item and the shipping cost of the new item.

4. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Certain types of items cannot be returned under any circumstances:

  • Installed/Used Products: Any product that has been bolted onto a vehicle, wired up (such as LED lights or winches), or modified in any way.
  • Custom or Made-to-Order Items: Custom-fabricated components or customized powder-coated finishes requested specifically by the buyer.
  • Clearance / Final Sale Items: Any products purchased from a “Final Sale”, “Clearance”, or “As-Is” section.

5. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN

To start a return, you must contact us first. Returns sent back to us without prior authorization will not be accepted.

  1. Email Us: Send a return request to Support@firstauto.store with your Order Number and a brief explanation of the reason for the return.
  2. Provide Photos: If the item is defective or damaged, you must attach clear, high-resolution photos or videos of the item and its packaging.
  3. Return Authorization (RMA): If your return is approved, we will send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with instructions on how and where to send your package.
  4. Ship the Item: Pack the item securely in its original box. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the box (do not write directly on the product).

6. REFUND PROCESSING

Once we receive and inspect your returned item at our warehouse, we will notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approval: If approved, your refund will be processed automatically, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment (e.g., Stripe, Credit Card) within 5–10 business days.
  • Deductions: As noted in Section 2, unless the return is due to our error, the refund will be the total purchase price minus the 15% restocking fee and any applicable original shipping charges.
  • Late or Missing Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account or contact your credit card company, as it may take some processing time before your refund is officially posted.
